Ryan and Jeanne’s elegant outdoor wedding in Woodside, California featuring paper and fresh florals
Ryan and Jeanne’s gorgeous and joyful wedding at the Mountain Terrace in Woodside, California was more that a typical commision for me – Ryan is my youngest brother-in-law, and the entire family (me very much included) couldn’t have been more thrilled to offically welcome Jeanne! These two are beautifully thoughtful about their choices and their wedding planning was no exception, so their celebration was an awesome reflection of their journey as friends before becoming a couple and was just SO. MUCH. FUN.
The entire vendor team did a spectacular job – shoutout to Meg of Meg’s Marvels who did a fantastic job capturing the images below and was a delight to have around on the wedding day. I was lucky enough to be able to collaborate with the floral designer Mimi of Wildrose and Thyme to incorporate my paper florals into her floral pieces for the wedding, and it was such a positive experience! Mimi, you were wonderful to work with, thank you for taking on something new and being so gracious!
I produced the flower crowns for all flower girls and ring bearer, as well as the peach ranunculus featured in the boutonnieres and coprsages, throughout the arch installation, bridal bouquet, and bridesmaid bouquets. It was so fun to see my flowers incorporated amongst fresh flowers, and watch guests be blown away when they realized some of the blooms were paper!
I also worked with Jeanne to create a hair comb custom fit to her style. Her spectacular look was created by Grace Lin Hair and Makeup (who also did the best job with Ryan to get him comfortable, confident and dapper for his big day! Let’s not sleep on HMUAs for the grooms.)
Ryan and Jeanne, thank you for trusting me to deliver on your vision. Thank you for having us out to California for the most amazing time celebrating you two – we love you!
